Croc

Well, I finally went and did it. I joined the millions of medical professionals who wear plastic and cheap looking footwear to work and purchased a new set of Crocs. I just couldn't take the smell my sneakers were giving off after this last month. It was getting really bad.

So now I have the "outdoor type" that's all manly looking and burly. I kept tripping on them yesterday. Damn near fell down some stairs, but hopefully I'll get better at walking. I've only been doing it for 29 years now.

And the best thing? My feet remained relatively comfy and rather non-malodorous throughout a 13 hour day. Awesome. My residents of the past are thanking me right now.

I almost budged and bought a pair, but the prospect of dropping a scalpel/needle/sharp thing and having it go through one of the large holes straight to my foot is just too scary. Alas, I'm stuck with my Danskos... damn things have the hardest soles ever made by mankind.

ouch...
Another day I was walking out of the library with a friend of mine when we saw this nurse sitting on the stairs outside. She was wearing bright canary yellow crocs. I am not sure if she is using these for safety, just in case she gets lost in an ocean at some point, but I still have scotoma after looking at these for a split second. Please tell me that yours are not yellow...
